K.Frankel Medical Visuals is owned by Kelly Frankel. Kelly grew up near Chicago, IL. where she developed an admiration for drawing, especially of nature. She was passionate about the process of developing and watching a scientific concept come to life through her sketches. She first learned of medical illustration when she was taking a biology course during her first year of college. Eager to learn more, Kelly moved to Ames, Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological/ Pre-Medical Illustration at Iowa State University.

Following her graduation, Kelly chose to continue her education at Augusta University where she received a Master of Science in Medical Illustration degree in Spring of 2022. Creating art with a medical background is captivating to her due to the many opportunities to learn about the beauty of the human body. Kelly continues to create content that allows her to further her knowledge and make the greatest impact within the healthcare environment.
